Candlelands

I’ve had a couple of wee jobs come in over the last week both of which are well worth investigating. The first one is my talented and enterprising niece Nicole Egan has set up her own Mobile Hair and Beauty Treatment business, www.colesbeauty.co.uk. The website is looking pretty good and should be up and running shortly. The other is along the same lines, my fiancee is setting up a walking tour, www.yellowbrolly.co.uk, walking around Edinburgh performing and explaining Robert Fergussons’ poem ‘Auld Reikie’ – guaranteed to have tourists boasting about their great-grandfathers tenuous links to all things ‘Scotch’. She’s been spending the last week or so getting the endorsement (and more importantly, use of the tea-making facilities) of The Scottish Poetry Library, so things are progressing well with that. I’ve designed a leaflet and will be building the website for it over the next week. Well, in between packing for holiday…….
